Question: I currently have a samsung eternity at&t cell phone?

But I'm tired of it because it's a touch screen phone. So, I want to update it. What if I go ahead and buy a cheap Pay As You Go phone and ditch the SIM card that comes with it and put MY SIM card from my current phone in it. Will it work?
