Why does verizon charge so much for cell phones?
My 2yr contract is up and i'm suppose to get a new phone, but all of the regular phones verizon has to txt all suck and the good phones to txt did cost $10.00 a month for data pkg which i didn't mind that much but now they increased all of the $10.00 month data pkg phones to $30.00 month data pkg so instead of paying the $240 for 2 years i would be paying $720 for 2 years which is just ridiculous and on top of that i get unlimited txting which is i believe another $30 a month so really it's about $60 a month and i would also have to pay for the 2 year plan. I guess my question is WHY would they do this? they are just going to lose customers everyone will just go to sprint which is less expensive. the only reason why i'm not going to sprint is because verizon is the only company that can actually get coverage where i live.

My Virgin Mobile Cell Phone Wont Recieve Text Messages??? HELP?
I have a TNT flip phone through virgin mobile and its been having a few problems lately.. First off it stoped letting type online in the web browser or on website everytime I tried typeing the whole phone would shut off and turn back on? & now I cannot recieve text messages? My signal strength is stuck at 1 bar, usually its higher. I donno if that matter, but I also keep getting texts hours after they have been sent and sometimes not at all. I dont understand Ive tried all I can? Anyone know what to do or what could cause this? ThanksTHANKS GUYS
Is it really safe Buying Cell Phones from Craigs List ?
I see 100's if not 1000's of Cell Phones Listed on Craig's List for Sale. Just doing some 'Research' about it right now on ones I'd like to have, but have not made up my mind yet on a certain one. I was wondering if you bought one of these from Craig's List and paid several hundred dollars for it what guarantee would you have that you would be able to 'Activate' any of these phones at all ? How could you find out if you could 'activate' it before you buy it ? Or is that something that you would 'not' be able to do and therefore you'd be out your money big time ? Also, how could you really tell if an Individual is trustworthy enough to buy one directly from them when they say they are selling theirs so they can get a Newer one for themselves. I keep seeing 'jail broken' and 'unlocked', so does that mean I could use a Prepaid Plan on one of these Phones no matter what Company made it ? So many unanswered questions on something like this. Contract Phones are NOT good any more on what they tell you when you buy the phone and what you are charged when you actually get the bill. My Friend sure found that out and is now stuck with a BIG BILL. Several calls to Company only got a small portion taken off but not even enough to really say it helped take the Bill down any. I sure don't want to get stuck with anything like that and that's why I was thinking 'Prepaid' only . All suggestions are apprecitated .
