All cell phones and land lines can be traced. It really only matters on the level of attention at any given time. In essence there are no physical devices that cannot be traced to the source via the network and satellite. There is such a thing as multilayer frequency scrambling but that's some real shadow-ops stuff, get your mind off it :P Cheap, disposable cellphones with limited prepayed minutes offer some anonymity in a sense that they can't help pinpoint the user, if it was disposed of in good time. It's also hard to track a short-wave CB radio exactly, but the general circular area isn't hidden. |
